Howdy! I’m Courtney. I’m a visual designer and animator who uses storytelling to bring ideas to life, especially in learning, games, and character-driven spaces.

I believe my purpose in life is to put a little good into the world whenever possible. When you make someone smile, they share that smile with the next person, who shares it with the next — and it keeps going. Twenty years from now, a smile I inspired today could end up somewhere I’ve never dreamed of, visiting people I’ll never meet. I think that’s real cool.

That idea fuels everything I do. I’m drawn to projects that empower others, which is why I’ve found a home in edtech and other purpose-driven spaces. I stockpile dad jokes to get a giggle out of my partner. And when someone on my team does something great (which is often), I make sure to tell them — because why keep that to myself?

I’m looking for opportunities to realize this little mission of mine wherever possible. If you’re looking to change the world (or a teeny slice of it) with your product, I’d love to hear about it. Maybe I can lend my skill to your mission.

I live in Ohio with my two cats, Rumble and Phoebe, and my co-adventurer and life partner, Ash. But home isn’t Ohio — home is this little family, and wherever we are together, I’m happy.

My hobbies include jammin’ on my planner (if you get the reference, we’re totally kindred spirits), long walks, reading comics over tea, and running my weekly D&D campaign, complete with dramatic voices and plot twists! (I have a great Goblin voice, or so I’ve been told.)
